Component list

The Components module lets you manage all the parts, materials, and systems that make up a boat. Its goal is to make it easier to keep track of the technical details, maintenance, and traceability for each part of the boat.

1. Introduction to the Components module

From this section you can:

• Register main components and their associated subcomponents.

• Organize boat items by area or category.

• Keep track of upcoming inspections and maintenance.

• Register key info like serial numbers or manufacturers.

• See the history of interventions or part replacements.

2. Create a main component

To add a new component:

1. Go to the Components menu.

2. Click Add component.

3. Enter the main component details, like:

   • Component name (e.g.: Engine, Bilge pump, Electrical panel).

   • Category or section it belongs to.

   • Component manufacturer.

   • Serial number, if applicable.

3. Add subcomponents

Subcomponents are the pieces or items that depend on the main component. To create them:

1. In the component list, select the main component.

2. In its profile, go to the Subcomponents section.

3. Click on Add subcomponent.

4. Enter the name and details of the subcomponent (e.g.: spark plugs, pistons, belts, filters…).

4. Organization by sections and categories

Each component can be assigned to a category for better organization of the list. Examples of available sections:

• Engine

• Electrical part

• Hydraulic systems

• Structure

• Navigation electronics

5. Differentiate by manufacturer

Inside each component, you can indicate the manufacturer, which lets you:

• Identify original parts.

• Filter the list by brand.

• Locate spare parts or technical documentation more quickly.

6. Register serial numbers

The serial number helps to uniquely identify each part. To add it:

1. Go to the component's file.

2. In the basic information section, enter the serial number.

7. Tracking inspections and maintenance

The system lets you keep detailed control of upcoming tasks:

7.1 Add a scheduled inspection

1. In the component tab, go to Upcoming reviews.

2. Click on Add review.

3. Enter the expected date and a description of the intervention.

7.2 Check review history

Each component keeps a history where the following are recorded:

• Past reviews

• Parts replacements

• Preventive or corrective maintenance

From the Vessels dropdown you can access Components, where you'll see the list of all components for all boats. Here you can filter by vessel, manufacturer, model, and more. This lets you create an Excel list of the components
