We can view the work orders for our boats in the menu on the left.
We can also access the work orders from the boat's profile, only the orders related to that boat will show up there.
The info shows us the basic details of the work order that's open for that boat.
If we click on TASKS, we get a view of all the tasks that are still pending in that work order.
You can get into each pending task, and this is what you'll see.
INFO: where you'll find the general info about the scheduled task, with its description, the expected date to do the task, the status showing if it's FINISHED or not, the Workers assigned to the task, and the estimated duration in hours.
TIME: where we can log the work hours you've done on that task as a Worker.
Pick the CATEGORY if you have more than one Category assigned as a worker, the DATE, START and END time of the task, and you can also add COMMENTS about the task if needed. Once you've added your work time, just hit REGISTER.
MATERIALS: where we can register any materials that are already loaded for the Work Order or come from the budget for that repair, or add any materials we used even if they weren't loaded before.
We can look up materials by REFERENCE or DESCRIPTION or just add them in manually with the description—we'll set them as REGISTERED if we used them for the repair we're working on, or as PENDING if it's a material that needs to be ordered. It will then show up in the list of MATERIALS so the company can make the order for that material.
Finally, just say how many units of the material you need.
EXPENSES: this is where you can log any expenses tied to the Work Order, like parking at a port, disposable stuff bought at a store, gas, etc. All these expenses will show up in this Work Order too.
Add the reference for the expense if you have one, and a description, plus the cost. Once you've done that, just hit the REGISTER button.
And finally, up in the top right of the Work Order and tasks, we've got the CHAT.
In the CHAT, when we log in, we can send messages related to the Work Order or about a specific Task, and these messages will always be kept in that Work Order for review or for any comments that need to be saved. This CHAT is also where you can take photos of any issues or work being done that are linked to this Order or Task.
When you attach these images to a Task or Work Order, those photos stay in that Work Order and on the boat, which means we can find any issue that came up during the job anytime and show it to the client if needed. These photos or comments will show up in the Work Order list with a red circle and the number of messages or photos that are left to check, and you can see any issue registered from the boat in real time from the Workshop Supervisor or the nautical Manager's desk later in the afternoon.
