When we enter the work order for a vessel from the mobile version, the first thing we see is the process for that Work Order.
The information shows us the basic details of the Work Order that is open for that vessel.
If we tap on TASKS, we’ll see all the tasks that are pending in that Work Order.
In each of the pending tasks, we’ll be able to access and see the following.
INFO: where general information about the scheduled task is presented, including its description, the expected date to perform the task, the status (whether COMPLETED or not), the operators assigned to the task, and the estimated duration in hours.
TIMES: where we can log the working hours spent on the task as an operator.
We will select the CATEGORY if we are assigned more than one Category as an operator, the DATE of the task, the START time and END time, as well as add COMMENTS about the task performed if necessary. Once we’ve logged our working time, we will hit REGISTER.
MATERIALS: where we can log materials already loaded when creating the Work Order or from the budget for that repair, or log materials we’ve used even if they weren’t previously loaded.
We can search materials by REFERENCE or DESCRIPTION or add them manually with the description. We’ll mark them as REGISTERED if they were used in the repair, or as PENDING if they need to be ordered. Those marked as PENDING will appear in the MATERIALS list so the company can place an order for the material.
Finally, we will indicate the number of units of that material needed.
EXPENSES: This is where we can record all expenses related to the Work Order, such as parking fees for access to a port, disposable materials purchased at a store, fuel, etc. All these expenses will also be reflected in this Work Order.
We will provide the expense reference if it exists, a description, and the expense cost. Once this is filled in, we’ll press the REGISTER button.
Finally, in the top-right corner of the Work Order and tasks, we have the CHAT.
In the CHAT, when we access it, we can send messages related to the Work Order or to the specific Task, which will always remain in that Work Order for review or for comments that need to be saved. It is also in this CHAT where photos of issues or work being carried out, corresponding to this Order or Task, can be taken.
When adding these images to a Task or a Work Order, these photos remain in that Work Order and on the boat, which allows us to locate any issue that may have arisen during the work and that we need to show to the client at any time. These photos or comments will appear in the Work Orders list with a red circle and the number of messages or photos pending review, allowing real-time verification of any issue recorded from the boat in the afternoon by the Workshop Chief or the Nautical Manager.
