Treasury in Settings groups how we get paid: payment methods (accounts and gateways), payment terms the customer sees on the document, and payment types we use to classify movements. If the IBAN on the PDF is empty or belongs to another entity, the source is almost always here — not on each invoice and not on the series.
We'll go to SETTINGS → PAYMENTS → TREASURY. We'll see PAYMENT METHODS (accounts and gateways, grouped by company), PAYMENT TERMS and PAYMENT TYPES.

Three pieces chain together:
The payment method is the account or gateway: a bank, Cash, Stripe… They are grouped by company. On bank accounts, ADD AUTOMATIC TRANSACTIONS may appear to import movements.
The payment term answers “how and when I pay”: deadline, method and the text the customer reads. The one with the star is the default for that company. The due date is calculated automatically and feeds cash-collection forecasts.
Payment types classify receipts and payments in reports. They are not customer-facing text.
If a customer has their own terms (60 days instead of 30), we'll assign them on their record, under additional information: their documents will use them automatically. See Taxes, discounts and extra customer information.
Under PAYMENT METHODS we'll press + and complete the fields the form asks for (name, company, and the account or gateway). Each method belongs to one company: we won't mix the yard's collections into the charter company's invoices.
🔒 Availability: Automatic bank connection (ADD AUTOMATIC TRANSACTIONS) is on Advance and Enterprise. Manual accounts and transactions are on every plan.
Under PAYMENT TERMS we'll press + and define:
DESCRIPTION: the internal name (“Bank transfer 30 days”, “Due on receipt”).
The method (and the account, if it applies) whose IBAN or instructions the customer will see.
DAYS: from the document date to the due date. Zero is due on receipt.
The text the customer will read on the PDF. We'll write it for them: “Please pay by transfer to the account shown within 30 days of the invoice date.”
We'll mark the usual term with the star. Exceptions go on the customer record, not by creating a new term per person.
💡 Tip: We'll review payment terms once a year. If real collection times drift from what we put on documents, the cash forecast loses reliability.
The IBAN on the PDF comes from the payment term and the linked method. If it's missing, we'll start with the term used on that document, not the series.
Connecting the bank does not replace adding the method: first the record, then ADD AUTOMATIC TRANSACTIONS.
Online card payments are set up in Stripe payment gateway, not as another IBAN.
